Okay, so I’m tired. I want to go to bed, but I’m trying to write every day for a month in my blog.
So does this entry saying that there will be no entry… does it count? I mean, I need to know what constitutes a blog entry… and life (because by saying this it makes it sound almost profound). What makes up a blog entry? Is it the number of words? The beauty of the prose? The strength of the font? The quantity of rhetorical questions that really don’t mean anything? By what does one or a community define as a blog entry?
It would be cheap and a little dishonest to attempt a parallelism between a blog entry and life. I would feel foolish asking “what makes a life?” Is it the amount of money? Beauty? Strength? Or attempts at humor? And it would be a very poor choice indeed to conclude with “how do we define a life worth living and a life well lived?”
Fortunately none of these things will happen because there will be no blog entry tonight… All we can do then, is to imagine what could have been. And again, I am not trying to make any connection between this entry and whether or not ones life counts or is a waste.
Just be thankful I didn’t end with that cheesy line about making sure we live a life worth living and one that is lived well.
