Its hard being so self-important. This site has now undergone its fourth incarnation since I launched Philipfiles.com back in 1999. I hope to post the older sites and link to them so I don’t have to cut and paste all of my old articles into this new format. I still want it all on the internet (hence the dillusional self-importance) because its … well so goodish.
On this same line of thought – is it wrong to quote oneself? I do this a lot. I pass it off as a joke, but I honestly am amazed at what sometimes comes out of my mouth. Actually on my 16th birthday I took a picture of it, but that is another story. Needless to say I don’t like peanut butter brownies anymore.
So back to quoting myself. I can’t help it if I’m the only author that I actually understand and fawn over. Okay, maybe I could help it but then I wouldn’t be a very good writer. Seriously, any writer worth his starving artists salary has got to believe that what they write is important. I’d venture to say that the writer that wouldn’t quote themselves should stop writing. If they don’t believe or find important what they write then why should they pawn it off on the rest of us.
Man, this is good stuff is anyone writing these gems down?
