Impacting soon in a TV set near you. "Resurrection."
Impact Productions, headed by Tom Newman (80), the presenter of
the world famous "Toymakers Dream" drama, is branching
out into the world of Christian film with the Easter oriented film
"Resurrection."
"Resurrection" is the story of two Roman soldiers who
took part in the crucifixion and were witnesses to the subsequent
resurrection of Jesus. One is bought off and embraces the lie, while
the other risks his life and career to find the truth. It is based
on a short story by best-selling author Max Lucado, titled Resurrection
Morning."

With a cast of more than 250. it was shot in Tulsa. and
in authentic Romanesquc Missions in San Antonio, Texas, and
boasts an original score.
Dr. Ray Lewandowski (Coin. Arts Chairman) stars as the Chief
Priest, with what appears to be a real beard (because <gasp>
it is). Mark Steele (91) and Robert Jobe star as the Roman
soldiers whose friendship is caught in the crossfire of truth
and deception.

"Resurrection," a one-hour 35 mm film, will be aired
in over 40 markets nationwide the week before Easter. It will be
aired in Tulsa by channel 6 (CBS) on April 10 at 8 pm, and April
11 at 6 pm.
Impact Productions is seeking to distribute the film through the
1 ,200 churches they work with throughout the nation over the next
year. Impact is also looking for a network to pick it up for Easter
99. film distribution manager Hayne Schurz (93) said.
