Yet Another Pfile (A Potpourri)

In a few short weeks, I will bid adieu to ORU and for many of us we will never meet again this side of the Arkansas River. My parting words will come in a few weeks, but for now I just want to reemphasize something that important to me.
I want to be a man!
Wait, that's the wrong one. Well, why limit myself to just one pithy saying when I can write (or repeat) a good half dozen.
Take it from someone who has no idea what he's talking about…
If you live like a prince in college, prepare to live like a pauper when you are out.
Never say never to God. Never say you'll never go on missions. God likes challenges. Never say you'll never live in Tulsa after you graduate. I actually know what I'm talking about on this one.
Life is not merely a race (we all finish, and the first to finish loses, and the last has to turn out the lights), nor a scavenger hunt ("he who dies with the most toys, still dies") nor a contest (the king of the dung heap gets to welcome the new load). Life is something much more complex and awesome, much more than any mere analogy can hope to grasp.
If you are interested in serving God, go into as little debt as possible. The biggest hindrance to serving God is serving a bank.
If you're waiting to be a millionaire before giving to others - you never will be. Habits started now will last a lifetime. Habits neglected now will...
If you don't learn your lesson the first time, prepare to "take another lap 'round Mt. Sinai till you learn your lesson." I write this for the sole purpose of catharsing. This song has been going around in my head for the past week.
Whom the Lord loves he chastens. God says "No" with gusto. His "Yes's" are often disguised as needs.
Someone informed me (okay, it was my watch) that today is April 1st (which may explain the "other" Pfile). This means that we have only 31 days left before graduation. It's a shame that there is no way of knowing how many days we have loft in life. Statistics tell us that some of us will die in less than 1,000 days, while others may live for another 30,000.
Live every day as if it were your last, someday you'll be right.
